The Shelby Academy was established in 1968.

CELEBRATING 40 YEARS

We offer students the opportunity to train in a variety of subjects, all with the emphasis on "Performance".

Shelby is known for it's Winning Smile and the fact the many student's over the years have gone into the Professional world of  T.V and Theatre.

All our Examinations are taken with "British Theatre Dance Association" and are accredited by the C.D.E.T, Q.C.A and G.Q.A.  This basically means that higher Examinations are equivalent in the skills and understanding to G.C.S.E's and A Levels.

The Shelby also incorporates  "Shelby Stars" where we go into academic schools to teach dance and "Melody Bears" which is mime and movement for 18 month to 3 years.
